How to use a Basic Page
A Basic Page highlights informational content, often long-form text. Most pages on your website will be basic pages.

Available Page Components
Customize a Basic Page to your needs with the following Page Components:
The following Page Components cannot be used on a Basic Page:
Required fields
1. Title - 255 characters max
The Title appears at the top of every page.
2. Summary - 160 characters max
The Summary (also called a meta description) provides a short description of the page for search results, social media, or assistive technology. The Summary does not appear on the page.
When creating a Summary, be concise and describe what visitors will find on the page.
3. Body - unlimited characters
The Body is where you can add content and flexible Page Components that will appear on the page.
Optional fields
1. Short Title - 35 characters max
Use the Short Title when the Title is approximately 75 characters and you’d like a shorter label to show in the breadcrumbs and side navigation menus.
2. Featured image
A Featured Image can be included at the top of the page.
- The image should be meaningful.
- Don’t use logos, branding, or images with overlaid text.
- The image size is 298x397 pixels (3:4 aspect ratio).
3. Summary Box
The Summary Box highlights key information from a long page or displays next steps.
4. Table of Contents
The Table of Contents appears at the top of the page and provides “jump links” to sections further down on the page. The Table of Contents includes all Heading 2 (H2) styles used in the Text Editor.

4. Updated Date
Use the Updated Date to share the date when the content was last reviewed. This can be extra helpful for pages that have time-sensitive information or content that changes based on law or regulation.
