How to use a Summary Box
A Summary Box highlights key information from a long page or displays next steps.
- Use only on a Basic Page. A Summary Box is not available on other page types.
- A Summary Box can have two to five bullets.
- The Summary Box appears automatically at the top of the page and cannot be placed anywhere else.
- You can only add one Summary Box per page.
Note: Adding a Summary Box is different from adding other Page Components. Add the Summary Box by selecting the Summary Box Checkbox underneath the Featured Image section when editing a Basic Page.

Required fields
1. Summary Box Title – 75 characters max
The Summary Box Title introduces the content in the Summary Box.
2. Summary Box List Item – 160 characters max
The contents of a Summary Box show in a bulleted List. Each bullet can include bold, italics and text links.
When to consider something else
- Don’t use a Summary Box as a Table of Contents.
- Don’t use a Summary Box if your page is short. If your page is short a recap may feel redundant.
- Use an Alert to highlight something new rather than surfacing details from further down the page.
